Offering in-person and telehealth sessions

Deeply aware of the pressures facing teens and young adults today, Sophie (she/her) strives to create a safe, welcoming space where authenticity is encouraged and judgment is left at the door. She brings unconditional acceptance and appropriate humor to her work, helping clients feel supported as they navigate growth and change. Inspired by her own experience with the magic of a good therapist, Sophie pursued her passion for psychology and earned her Master’s in Counseling with a child specialization through Northwestern University. She aspires to offer the same understanding, guidance, and support to others that she was fortunate to receive.

Sophie works primarily with teens and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. She has particular experience helping clients navigate anxiety and major life transitions, providing practical strategies and guidance to build resilience. Sophie utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, and relational therapies. Sophie also incorporates CBT and mindfulness-based strategies, while always using with a trauma-informed lens. She places a strong emphasis on meeting each client where they are in their healing journey, tailoring her approach to support their unique needs and goals.

Sophie views therapy as a conversation, not a monologue. She works collaboratively with clients, sharing her reactions, emotions, and insights to help guide the process and support clients in discovering what works best for them. After all, she has feelings too!

Central to Sophie’s work is creating a relationship where clients feel safe to be their authentic selves — a process she sees as both healing and liberating. For teens and young adults especially, who often feel weighed down by expectations and comparisons, Sophie emphasizes helping them reconnect with their authentic selves as a foundation for growth and confidence.

Outside of session, you can find Sophie cheering for the Red Sox, eating sour candy, and adoring all dogs. Sophie takes special pride in her quirky sock collection and her level on Candy Crush.
