Selina Lang is an independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University. Selina has worked with adolescents and adults across diverse settings and brings extensive experience supporting individuals navigating LGBTQIA2S+ identities, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, substance use, and life transitions.

Selina works from an intersectional feminist framework and a non-pathologizing approach, grounded in a commitment to decolonizing therapy. Her approach is LGBTQIA2S+ affirming and anti-racist, and she strives to create a therapeutic space that is safe, inclusive, and empowering.

She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Positive Psychology, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Art Therapy into her work. She also offers EMDR, having completed EMDRIA-approved training through the Trauma Institute & Child Trauma Institute. Selina’s practice is collaborative and client-centered, focused on co-creating individualized treatment plans that honor each client’s values, strengths, and lived experiences.

She brings authenticity, transparency, humor, and unconditional positive regard to the therapeutic relationship. Selina recognizes that healing is not linear—everyone’s process unfolds in its own time and way. Her intention is to support clients in dismantling internalized and systemic barriers, cultivating self-worth, and replacing self-criticism with compassion, flexibility, and empowerment as they navigate gradual, sustainable change.

In her free time Selina enjoys baking, embroidery, and all things miniature--Selina is also dog approved.
