Offering in-person and telehealth sessions
Laurie is a compassionate and skilled clinical psychologist who provides both in-person therapy sessions for children and in-person or telehealth services for parents. A Philadelphia native, Laurie earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Vermont and her master’s and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Duke University. After completing her internship at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati and her fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, she has spent the last twenty-five years supporting children and their parents in both clinical and school settings.
Laurie's therapeutic approach is warm, interactive, and collaborative, emphasizing a skill-building, strength-based perspective that incorporates literacy, art, and play-based elements. She utilizes a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, collaborative problem solving, and parent management training, to develop personalized treatment plans. Her expertise lies in helping children and their families navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioral regulation issues, ADHD, executive functioning deficits, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and coping with difficult life events. Additionally, Laurie has extensive experience with school-based services which enables her to provide parents with consultation and advocacy for their children's needs within academic environments.
Laurie currently lives in Wellesley, MA with her husband and three sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, exercising, reading, and being outdoors either hiking in the mountains or paddling on a lake.
