Jennifer Kneeland, LMHC, RYT-200, is an Expressive Arts Therapist with over 5 years of experience as a trauma-informed, mind-body specialist. Jenn has experience working with veterans and service members, complicated grief, family and relationship dynamics, anxiety, LQBTQIA+ community, and non-monogamy relationship structures. Jenn specializes in resiliency building, creative growth, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction work, and somatic approaches. They also draw from Attachment-Based Theory, Family Systems, Biofeedback, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

As humans, we often experience significant overwhelm from our sensory environment, trauma, and stress that can increase disassociation and make it difficult to process emotions. Jenn believes that through reconnecting to the body in creative spaces we can improve our understanding and processing of emotions. Jenn’s clients are often looking to improve their quality of life, and are ready to create steps towards change. In session, clients can expect to initially work on grounding skills, and work up towards achieving their goals in actionable steps. Jenn’s style is unique and tailored to each individual, and will work collaboratively with you towards healing.

Jenn completed a Master's in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge. They have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and a 50-hour trauma-informed mind-body movement approach. Additionally, they have studied with the Benson-Henry Institute to complete training on building resiliency and improving quality of life through reducing stress.
